The leading F1 teams have all brought upgrades to Austria

The leading four teams in the Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship have confirmed the arrival of upgrades for this weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix.

Title-leaders McLaren has brought three separate performance-based upgrades, with both its front and rear corners updated for aerodynamic improvements, as well as a chance to its front suspension, which “[aims] at an overall improvement of flow conditioning which results in an aerodynamic performance gain.”

Ferrari has taken a huge step into what it hopes will be an improvement of the much-maligned floor to its SF-25.

A redistribution of its fences profiles, reshaped boat and tunnel expansions, and a shorter and re-cambered floor edge wing have all been implemented, as well as a redesigned diffuser volume, designed to produce an increase of loading.

Red Bull has made just one change, with a change to its floor edge, “intended to maintain the established flow stability and improve the load extracted from this region of the floor.”

Mercedes, fresh from its victory and double-podium in Canada, have brought two circuit-specific parts – a larger brake duct inlet and a larger rear bodywork exit on its engine cover, in order to increase cooling to the W16.

Both Aston Martin, Alpine, Haas and Williams have all opted to maintain the status quo for the weekend, brining no new updates of any sort.

Racing Bulls, the fifth team in that midfield gaggle, has opted for changes to its front wing flap and rear wing profiles, both implemented to create improved flow and drag.

Sauber, amid an upward trajectory in its performance after two consecutive points finishes, has brought an updated outboard floor edge and diffuser, as well as a new rear wing assembly.
