FP1 for the 2025 Monaco GP saw plenty of action

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc tops the timing sheets in the opening practice session for the 2025 Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix.

The home favourite set a lap time of 1:11.964s and was followed by the Red Bull of Max Verstappen in second, with McLaren’s Lando Norris in third place.

Alex Albon was in fourth for Williams, Oscar Piastri fifth in the other McLaren and George Russell sixth for Mercedes.

Williams’ Carlos Sainz ended the session in seventh, Pierre Gasly eighth for Alpine and Lewis Hamilton ninth for Ferrari.
