David Heinemeier Hansson and Pietro Fittipaldi have joined Renger van der Zande at United Autosports for the Le Mans 24 Hours on 14-15 June.

Hansson is undertaking his 12th start at the historic French endurance with reigning LMP2 class winners, United Autosports.

Fittipaldi, meanwhile, returned to sportscar racing for 2025. He drove an LMP2 campaign with JOTA in 2023 with Hansson as one of his co-drivers.

The 2014 GTE Am class winner and the Brazilian-American will co-pilot with van der Zande, initially confirmed on the entry list.

Heinemeier Hansson said: “I’m thrilled to return to Le Mans, in a car (#22 Oreca 07) fielded by United Autosports.

“Their record, their preparation and their results speak for themselves.

“This is as good a shot as I’ve ever had at a great result.

“Especially driving with Pietro for the third time at Le Mans and reuniting with Renger after sharing several cars with him in IMSA years back. Can’t wait.”

“It’s always very special to race at Le Mans,” added Fittipaldi.

“I had great success the last time I was there, fighting for pole position in 2023, and now with the opportunity to defend the Le Mans win for United Autosports … I’m extremely excited for this opportunity.

“I want to thank Richard Dean and the whole United Autosports team for having the trust and confidence in me.

“I’m really looking forward to going racing with David, Renger and the #22 crew.”

United Autosports have two McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evos as part of the FIA World Endurance Championship campaign and the #23 Oreca 07 as another LMP2 in the Pro/Am category with Daniel Schneider, Oli Jarvis – who took the checkered flag for their second win last year – and Ben Hanley.
