Oscar Piastri took pole position at the 2025 Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix on Saturday evening, setting a time of 1:29.841s.
The Australian racing driver just pipped the Mercedes of George Russell, who set an astonishing lap and matched the pace of the McLarens throughout qualifying.
Charles Leclerc qualified in third for Ferrari ahead of the other Silver Arrows car of Andrea Kimi Antonelli.

Pierre Gasly shone throughout the sessions and put his Alpine car on the third row by qualifying in fifth place.
Just behind the Frenchman was Lando Norris, who failed to join his team-mate on the front row.
Max Verstappen in the Red Bull qualified in seventh, behind the championship leader.
Carlos Sainz secured eighth for Williams, Lewis Hamilton ninth in the other Ferrari and Yuki Tsunoda rounded off the top 10 in his first Q3 appearance for Red Bull.
