Under the floodlights at the Bahrain International Circuit FP2 got underway

Oscar Piastri set the fastest lap time in the second Formula 1 practice session at the Bahrain International Circuit ahead of his McLaren team-mate Lando Norris.

The Australian set a lap time of 1:30.505s to pip Norris by one and half tenths as the papaya duo made it a one-two in FP2.

George Russell in the Mercedes rounded off the top three but more than half a second off Piastri.

Charles Leclerc finished the session in fourth for Ferrari, Andrea Kimi Antonelli fifth in the other Mercedes.

Isack Hadjar was in sixth, Max Verstappen seventh, Lewis Hamilton eighth, Oliver Bearman ninth and Carlos Sainz rounded off the top 10.
