We have reached the halfway point of F1 2025 pre-season testing

2025 Formula 1 pre-season testing continued on Thursday at the Sakhir Circuit in Bahrain. Running is split across two sessions with a morning and afternoon run for each of the 10 teams.

Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton topped the Thursday morning session, setting a 1:29.379s effort to better the competition by 0.399s.

Hamilton’s former Mercedes team-mate George Russell was best of the rest, ahead of Williams’ Carlos Sainz and Alpine’s Pierre Gasly.

Fifth went to Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso, who led Racing Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri.

Red Bull’s Liam Lawson, Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg, and Haas’ Esteban Ocon rounded out the classified 10 runners.
