Aston Martin has completed its maiden run with the team’s 2025 Formula 1 car in Bahrain, while Haas has also appeared out on track with Oliver Bearman at the wheel.

Having showcased the team’s revised livery at the F1 75 season launch event, Aston Martin unveiled its actual AMR25 machine on Sunday evening through digital renders.

Aston Martin’s 2025 challenger has been described as “close to 100 per cent new” amid the team’s desire to assemble a more benign car than its capricious predecessor.

The Silverstone-based squad’s creation has now received its debut track outing at the Bahrain International Circuit, which will also host F1 pre-season testing later this week.

Lance Stroll, who is embarking upon his ninth season in the sport and seventh with the team, was the first to trial the AMR25 prior to handing over to Fernando Alonso.

Bearman gets run in Haas VF-25

Meanwhile, Haas has also been in action with Bearman testing the VF-25, which team-mate Esteban Ocon drove during a shakedown at Silverstone earlier this month.

Bearman is entering his rookie campaign more prepared than the other debutants as he made three F1 race starts in 2024: one with Ferrari and another two with Haas.

“I’m quite certain that I feel confident heading into round one of what I can do, how comfortable I am in F1 at this stage,” Bearman told media including Motorsport Week.

“I’ve had a good amount of mileage for a rookie, lots of TPC but also lots of race weekends as well which is very different.

“Race weekends are unique and different type of pressure to running on track by yourself in TPC. So to get that experience has been really invaluable.

“Now I’m just excited to get 24 of them [races] and really build up and gain experience and really be able to build from it.

“Because, my three races, they had a pretty uncertain length of time in between. At least I know exactly what my calendar is going to look like this year.”

There are poised to be two teams present at the Bahrain venue on Tuesday with Mercedes running the W16, while Red Bull will also be out on the track with the RB21.
