Ferrari Academy Driver Dino Beganovic is among several drivers recently confirmed to contest the FIA Formula 2 championship in 2025.

Hitech has announced the young Swede will be given a full-time drive in the series, having competed in the final two rounds of 2024.

Driving for DAMS, Beganovic impressed with 22 points, including a podium finish in the final Feature of the year in Abu Dhabi.

It is the third category in three years for Beganovic, who won the FRECA championship in 2023 with 300 points.

He also finished sixth in the 2024 FIA Formula 3 standings, winning twice and earning a further two podiums.

“I’m thrilled to join Hitech GP for my first full season in Formula 2 next year,” said Beganovic. “Having had a brief introduction to F2 over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been really impressed by the car and the level of the championship.

“Stepping up full time in 2025 with one of the series’ top teams is an amazing opportunity.

“I’m tremendously grateful to Hitech, Scuderia Ferrari Driver Academy, and everyone else who made this possible. It’s a big, important step in my career and I can’t wait to start working with the team this week at the post-season test.”

Another signing for next season is young Japanese driver Ritomo Miyata, who is leaving Rodin Motorsport to join ART, confirming a second year in the competition.

Miyata scored eight points finishes across his debut season, finishing 19th in the standings.

“I am thrilled to announce that I will be competing in the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season with ART Grand Prix,” said Miyata.

“I am deeply grateful to Morizo-san (Akio Toyoda) and everyone at TGR for giving me another opportunity to race in Formula 2.”

Red Bull Juniors secure F2 future

Prema Racing has big shoes to fill with both Andrea Kimi Antonelli and Oliver Bearman graduating to Formula 1 with Mercedes and Haas respectively, but it has found two young stars who will occupy the void.

Alongside Gabriele Minì the Italian team has announced fellow F3 graduate Sebastian Montoya.

The Colombian, son of former F1 driver Juan Pablo and a current member of the Red Bull Junior Team, took six points finishes in 2023 with Campos, including P2 in the Feature race at Spa-Francorchamps.

“I’m very excited to join PREMA for the 2025 FIA Formula 2 season,” Montoya said.

“It was the first team I worked with and that makes it very cool to see how the team changed. It is one of the best teams in feeder series racing and now in the world. I’m delighted to join forces with it again and cannot wait to get it started.”

It is doubly good news for the youngsters attached to the Milton Keynes squad, as alongside Montoya, Josep Maria Martí has been confirmed to be continuing in F2 with Campos.

The Spaniard impressed throughout the year, scoring four podiums, including Sprint Race victory at the Yas Marina Circuit, which earned him 14th place in the final standings.

“I’m very excited to be returning today Campos Racing for my 2nd season in Formula 2 in 2025,“ said Martí.

“Since the start of my single seater career, Adrian father and son have had faith in me and now we are facing our fifth season together.”
