Lando Norris received a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for failing to slow under yellow flags

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen wins the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix as Ferrari gains on McLaren in the Constructors’ Standings.

Verstappen overtook polesitter George Russell at the race start and the Dutchman handled multiple Safety Cars to take the victory.

Lando Norris trailed Verstappen for most of the Grand Prix but dropped down the order after receiving a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for failing to slow down during yellow flags.

Multiple drivers received time penalties as the race stewards had a busy evening in Qatar.

Charles Leclerc grabbed second place amidst the late chaos as Ferrari gained nine points on its championship rivals McLaren.

Oscar Piastri completed the podium places after starting from fourth on the grid.

Russell suffered a slow pit stop but recovered to finish fourth after starting from pole.

Pierre Gasly capitalised on punctures and time penalties to finish fifth, earning 10 crucial points in Alpine’s midfield battle for sixth in the team standings.

Carlos Sainz finished sixth despite having a puncture and Fernando Alonso finished seventh with a good result for Aston Martin.

Zhou Guanyu took eighth for Sauber in his best finish of the season with a remarkable drive by the Chinese racing driver.

Kevin Magnussen finished ninth for Haas and Norris rounded off the top 10 after his time penalty sent him down the order to 15th.

The British driver came back through the order to take two points after he also achieved the fastest lap point.
