The season finale of the 2024 NTT IndyCar Series too place on Sunday, with an exciting battle around the 1.33-mile oval that is Nashville Superspeedway.

Colton Herta managed the differing strategies and different tire compounds best, driving from ninth to earn his first oval victory in IndyCar.

Pato O’Ward and Josef Newgarden filled out the podium positions, with Newgarden in particular completing a late charge through the field to end the season on a good note.

The championship battle was decided on track as well, with Alex Palou maintaining the advantage he held coming into the weekend to take his third IndyCar title.

Will Power would have had to finish on the podium and have a heap of good luck to go along with it if he were to win, but instead he suffered poor luck in the form of a loose seat belt just a few laps into the race.

With the season now wrapped up, attention will turn to the race to claim the few race seats left available. The 2025 season begins on the streets of St. Petersburg on March 2.
