Oscar Piastri took his second Formula 1 victory at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after a commanding drive on the streets of Baku.
The Australian managed to overcome the challenge of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc after a race-long battle, with the Monegasque finishing in second place, in a race that finished under the Virtual Safety Car after a late clash between Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez.
George Russell benefitted from the incident to claim third, with Lando Norris recovering well after a poor qualifying to finish fourth, one place ahead of title rival Max Verstappen.
Fernando Alonso was sixth for Aston Martin with Williams duo Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto seventh and eighth, the Argentinian claiming F1 points for the first time in only his second Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton came through the field after starting in the pit lane to finish ninth, with Oliver Bearman once again in the points as a stand-in driver, coming in 10th place in the Haas.
