The Hypercar Balance of Performance figures reveal a slight gain for Porsche and a hit for Toyota ahead of the seventh round of the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Porsche with two joint-run Penske 963s, two JOTA 963s and one Proton Competition-run 963 will take on marginally less weight and more power for the upcoming 6 Hours of Fuji, having scored a best finishing spot of P6 at the previous round.

After their #7 entrant fought for the win at the Lone Star Le Mans, Toyota has been hit with a equally minor weight increase and total power output decrease for their home event having scored second place at the Circuit of Americas (COTA), despite the BoP reacting to their Sao Paulo win.

Elsewhere, the most significant changes came for Peugeot who ran a challenging effort through the hot and humid COTA-based race with the #94 Hypercar retiring.

Their two 9X8s are set to lose seven kilograms and gain four kilowatts (5.4 hp) of total power output.

After a strong outing for Alpine finishing in two points-scoring positions, the better being the #35 A424 in fifth place, they will lose 10% of their power output after 250 kph which will have an effect at Fuji Speedway’s 1.5 km start-finish straight.

Fuji Speedway is set to host the six-hour race on Sunday 15 September.
