Norris anticipates more F1 clashes with Verstappen

After the successful completion of the Belgium Grand Prix, we are finally in the thick of things with another interesting race as the middle stretch of the 2024 Formula 1 season continues unfolding.

McLaren’s star Oscar Piastri recorded his first career at the recent Hungarian GP and Lewis Hamilton won in Belgium after he inherited the win when his teammate George Russell, who crossed the line first, lost the win because his car was under weight.

Now, after a three week summer break, the 20 drivers on the grid will travel to Holland to compete in the 2024 Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix. The race will be hosted in the dunes at the legendary Zandvoort Circuit.

McLaren drivers Piastri and Lando Norris secured a one-two finish before the British GP winner Lewis Hamilton, as the reigning champion Max Verstappen came in fifth after a controversial mix-up with Lewis Hamilton almost cost him dearly. However, the Dutch driver is still a healthy 78 points ahead in the World Drivers’ Championship standings despite being stuck with the worst form he has displayed in a long time.

So, what can Formula 1 enthusiasts expect from the world’s top drivers as we head into the 15th race of the 2024 season? We have gone through the odds offered on betting sites provided by WinComparator to give you the best betting trends, and predictions for the Dutch Grand Prix bets.

2024 F1 Dutch Grand Prix winning odds

For the first time in the 2024 Formula 1 season, Max Verstappen isn’t among the favorites to win the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix. Verstappen hasn’t won for quite some time, finishing fifth, second, fifth and fourth in the last four grands prix. That has seen the Red Bull driver fall to +350 odds for the Dutch GP to make the third favorite next weekend.

Zandvoort is a really exciting track and it is the home grand orix for Max Verstappen

Instead, the McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are ranking as the bookmaker’s favorite to win the Dutch Grand Prix this weekend despite having two career race wins to their name. Piastri stands at +300 odds after his victory in Hungary, while Lando stands on a surprise -111 lead to make him the clear favorite.

Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes teammate George Russel are ranking at +1000 odds despite registering a mixed performance. Russell started 17th on the grid following a horror show during the qualifiers but carved through the pack to finish eighth in Hungary and record the fastest lap of the day in the process. We must also remember that the Mercedes drivers crossed the line one-two at Spa in Belgium although Russell lost the win due to a technical violation.

Best Bet for the 2024 F1 Dutch Grand Prix

Bet: Lando Norris qualify on the pole & win the 2024 Dutch GP

Lando Norris ranks top  and and after losing what seemed to be a certain victory to Piastri in Hungary, he will be looking to put up a stronger challenge next weekend. The McLaren driver ranks as the favorite to win the Durtch Grand Prix this year, but he is expected to show as much pace when qualifying down the straights and corners. That means Norris might find himself qualifying on the pole.

Hamilton has shone for a resurgent Mercedes in 2024 so far.

2024 F1 Dutch Grand Prix prop Bet

Bet: George Russel or Lewis Hamilton to mark the fastest lap time

Like McLaren drivers, Mercedes drivers have become World Championship contenders in recent weeks, with both Russel and Hamilton securing first race victories of the season over the last four races. However, the duo managed to record the fastest lap times in several events in a row before reaching above the parapet.
