Max Verstappen topped the third and final practice session for the Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix with rain heavily impacting proceedings.
Verstappen’s 2:01.565s benchmark was a full 1.4s clear of McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, but too few laps were completed amid the rain for there to be any true reflection of pace.
That was evident in the fact Alpine’s Pierre Gasly was third fastest, ahead of fourth-placed Lando Norris with Esteban Ocon completing the top five.
Charles Leclerc posted the sixth-fastest effort with Lance Stroll lapping seventh quickest before a crash at Raidillon.
Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas, Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull’s Sergio Perez completed the top-10.
