Max Verstappen took victory in Saturday’s Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix Sprint race after an early battle with the McLarens of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris.
The Red Bull driver overcame the McLaren challenge to finish 4.616s ahead of Piastri with Norris within a second of his team-mate.
Three seconds further back from the top three was the battle for fourth place, won by Mercedes George Russell.
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz was the filling in a Mercedes sandwich in fifth with Lewis Hamilton sixth.
Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez picked up the final Sprint points in seventh and eighth respectively.
Haas’ Kevin Magnussen and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll finished just outside the Sprint points to complete the top-10.
