Eng quickest in second IMSA practice at Detroit

Philipp Eng, BMW factory driver, went quickest in second practice for the IMSA Detroit Sportscar Classic, with the Austrian setting a 1:06.348 to top the timesheets onboard the #24 BMW M Hybrid V8.

Exactly a tenth behind was the first session’s quickest driver, Nick Tandy in the #6 Porsche, while in third, 22 hundredths off Tandy was veteran Sebastien Bourdais, driving the #01 Cadillac V-Series.R.

Sister Bmw, the #25 car, was fourth quickest, with Nick Yelloly 0.134 slower than Eng. In fifth was Felipe Nasr onboard the #5 Porsche, while the first of the Acuras was sixth, Ricky Taylor in the #10 WTRAndretti Acura ARX-06.

In GTD Pro, Tommy Milner was quickest in the #4 Corvette Z06 GT3.R, setting a 1:09.654. Over a tenth and a half back was the teamcar, with Antonio Garcia setting the #3 Corvette’s fastest lap.
