Jack Aitken in the Whelen Cadillac #31 would crash at Turn 4 bringing out the red flag early on in the session. However, despite the team being unable to get the car repaired before the end of the session, Aitken managed to set a lap time of 1:14.734, just a few tenths from the best time and rounding out GTP’s top five.

In the GTD class, Seb Priaulx for AO Racing went fastest in his #77 Porsche 911 with a lap time of 1:21.182 just narrowly beating the #3 Corvette driven by Alexander Sims, who was only a couple of tenths down on the Porsche, and had dominated the time sheets for most of the session.

Nicky Catsburg in the #4 Corvette would join the sister car at just over a couple of tenths down on the fastest time, with the #57 Mercedes AMG GT3 of Philip Ellis a further tenth of a second behind.

Rounding out the top five in GTD was the #78 Lamborghini of Loris Spinelli, who was just under a tenth away from the Mercedes in front.
