Verstappen won the second Sprint race of the year with a 3-second time margin ahead of Charles Leclerc. Team-mate Sergio Perez completed the top three.
Ricciardo finished in an impressive fourth for RB while Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz and McLaren’s Oscar Piastri chased him till the end, but didn’t manage to overtake and ended fifth and sixth.
Hulkenberg saw the chequered flag in seventh, with Yuki Tsunoda clinching the last point-awarding place and Pierre Gasly and Logan Sargeant rounding the top 10.
