Carlos Sainz secured a Ferrari 1-2 in the 2024 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix ahead of team-mate Charles Leclerc.

The Spaniard finished with a 2.3s margin over Leclerc as McLaren duly came home with an impressive third and fourth-place finish, Lando Norris (+5.904s) ahead of home hero Oscar Piastri (+35.770s).

Red Bull’s Sergio Perez finished a lonely fifth, nearly a minute behind the race leader with Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll picking up a decent points haul for team Silverstone in sixth and seventh.

Yuki Tusnoda took home vital points for RB in eighth and Haas took a double-points finish in ninth and 10th, with Nico Hulkenberg bettering team-mate Kevin Magnussen.
