The woman who made allegations of inappropriate behaviour against Christian Horner which were dismissed has now taken up her right to appeal Red Bull’s decision.

Horner had been under investigation from the parent Red Bull GmbH company following the aforementioned allegations made against him by a female employee.

Ahead of the first Formula 1 round of the season in Bahrain, Horner was exonerated from the allegations once Red Bull reviewed the findings from an external barrister.

The complainant has since been suspended, but it was documented that the woman would receive a legal letter last week that gave her a right to appeal the outcome.

The BBC has tonight reported that the woman has exercised that option and asked Red Bull to reconsider their decision, with legal action remaining a potential avenue.

Red Bull had stated that the contents of the investigation would remain concealed, although partners Ford and Honda had asked for a transparent solution to the case.

Horner had continued in his role at the helm of Red Bull’s F1 operation throughout the investigation, highlighting that the team remained “united” despite speculation.

The Red Bull Team Principal has denied the allegations during the entire process and has urged people to move on from the incident amid an “intrusion” on his close ones.

“The reality is that there was a grievance raised, it was dealt with in the most professional manner by the group, that appointed an independent KC, one of the most reputable in the land,” Horner said in Saudi Arabia last weekend. “He took time to investigate all the facts. He looked at everything and he came to a conclusion where he dismissed the grievance.

“As far as I’m concerned, as far as Red Bull is concerned, we move on.”
