Red Bull’s Max Verstappen ended first practice at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit fastest with a time of 1:29.659s

Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso was the only driver within two-tenths of Verstappen’s best time and split the Red Bull pairing with Sergio Perez sat third.

George Russell finished the session fourth fastest ahead of Ferrari duo Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

Seventh fastest Lando Norris was the sole McLaren in the top half, enjoying a narrow advantage over fellow Briton Lewis Hamilton.
