F1 2024 Bahrain Grand Prix – FP2 Results

Lewis Hamilton headed a Mercedes 1-2 in FP2 after topping the timesheets with a lap time of 1:30.374s.

The seven-time champion sat two-tenths clear of Mercedes team-mate George Russell. Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso was third fastest, also within three-tenths of Hamilton.

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz ended the session fourth fastest ahead of the McLaren of Oscar Piastri who completed the top five.

Max Verstappen sat sixth fastest, almost half a second adrift of the leading Mercedes.

The reigning champion was followed by Nico Hulkenberg, Lance Stroll Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez rounded out the top ten in the second Red Bull.
