RB has unveiled its striking livery for its 2024 Formula 1 car, the VCARB 01, during a launch ceremony on Thursday night in Las Vegas.

The squad has been rebranded for the upcoming season on a multi-year deal after signing an agreement with Visa and CashApp.

The livery is reminiscent of the squad’s Toro Rosso days and is predominantly sparkling blue with white accents and red stripes.

Attending the launch were drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda, along with CEO Peter Bayer, Team Principal Laurent Mekies and F1 Academy driver Amna Al-Qubaisi.

The launch marks the start of the team’s new identity as Visa Cash App RB.

It existed as AlphaTauri from 2020 through 2023, and has been owned by Red Bull since 2005.

Ricciardo and Tsunoda will race for RB in 2024 for the first time as full-season teammates.

Ricciardo returned to the team for which he raced in 2012/13 – under its Toro Rosso guise – in mid-2023 as a replacement for Nyck de Vries.

Tsunoda is entering his fourth year with the team after making his debut in 2021.

RB has undergone an extensive restructuring as part of its greater alignment with Red Bull Racing.

Long-time team boss Franz Tost vacated his role at the end of 2023 and has been replaced by former Ferrari Racing Director Mekies.

Mekies previously spent almost a decade at Toro Rosso from the mid-2000s through the mid-2010s.

Mekies will work in tandem with Chief Executive Officer Bayer, who joined mid-2023, while Alan Permane is another high-profile recruit following his exit from Alpine last season.

AlphaTauri endured a slow start to 2023 before making gains through the season to classify eighth in the Constructors’ Championship.

The team has never finished higher than sixth in the standings throughout its history though has claimed two victories, courtesy of Sebastian Vettel and Pierre Gasly, at Monza in 2008 and 2020 respectively.
