Dreyer and Reinbold Racing has confirmed that it will be working with Cusick motorsports again this May to field pair on entries in the 2024 Indianapolis 500.

Driving the two cars will be veteran drivers Ryan Hunter-Reay and Conor Daly, who will pilot the #23 and #24 entries respectively.

The pairing is an interesting one, in that Hunter Reay took over at Ed Carpenter Racing for the second half of the season after Daly was let go early from his contract.

They will be team-mates in earnest this season, and will both focus on a single race rather than longer commitments throughout the year.

“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing for the 108th Running of the Indy 500,” said Don Cusick, owner of Cusick Motorsports.

“The collaboration symbolizes our shared passion for the sport, and together, we aim to write new chapters of success at the Brickyard.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside Dennis & his team, which has provided a firm footing for us to grow with our partners. I am excited about our driver pairing with Ryan Hunter-Reay and Conor Daly and cannot wait for May to arrive.

“Finally, I would like to thank Stefan Wilson for kickstarting this adventure back in 2021. Stefan’s contributions and commitment has been second to none and he will forever be an integral part of our journey. We will support him however we can for the future.”

Daly and Hunter-Reay have a combined 25 Indianapolis 500 entries, with the latter having won the race in 2014, which will give the small partnership plenty of valuable feedback throughout the two-week event.

Daly has often found pace around the 2.5-mile oval as well, earning three top 10 finishes in the last five years.

The announcement makes for 32 announced entries for the 108th Indianapolis 500, and leaves only Dale Coyne Racing to announce its driver lineup for the upcoming IndyCar season.
