The Sauber-owned Formula 1 team has announced that it has officially been renamed ‘Stake F1 Team’ until 2026 with the launch of a new logo and social media handles.
Sauber’s title sponsorship deal with Alfa Romeo concluded at the end of 2023 as the Hinwil-based squad prepares to transition into a works Audi entry from 2026.
It was confirmed in the FIA’s entry list that the new name of the team will be Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, with Kick also acquiring the naming rights to Sauber’s chassis.
That arrangement with the streaming platform will cover the next two seasons before the German marque arrives in time for the sport’s latest technical overhaul.
But having teased that a further piece of news regarding its identity would come on New Year’s Day, Sauber has revealed that Stake will feature in its shortened name.
Sauber celebrated its partnership with Kick, founded by parent company Stake, at last year’s Belgian Grand Prix with a special livery that adopted neon green details.

The Sauber-owned outfit has already confirmed that it will break with tradition as it embarks upon a new era with the launch of its 2024 car being held in the United Kingdom.
Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi outlined that there will be plenty more to come from Sauber’s increased partnership with Stake.
“Last season represented the start of Stake’s journey in F1, and the brand’s new role headlining Stake F1 Team represents the natural and exciting next step on this path,” he said.
“Stake not only successfully tapped into F1’s growing fan base to enhance its own community, but also introduced a completely new audience to the sport, something that benefitted not only our team but also everyone else in F1.
“We had the opportunity to participate in some incredible activations with some of Stake’s ambassadors, including Argentine football legend, Sergio Aguero and Indian-Canadian rapper Karan Aujla.
“2024 will be a new page and the chance to do more, better, and reach even farther. We are looking forward to an even more exciting calendar of events in this new season.”
Stake Co-Founder Edward Craven added: “We are thrilled with the opportunity to bring an electrifying and brand-new identity into our F1 team, kick-starting the F1 season with a bold team name, Stake F1 Team.
“Fuelled by deep passion for speed, innovation, and pushing boundaries, we are now ideally positioned to take the team to unprecedented heights from 2024 and beyond.
“The upcoming years will be a thrilling ride with some mind-blowing activations planned that will redefine excitement on and off the track. So, brace yourselves and stay tuned, as Stake F1 Team accelerates towards an exciting future!”
