F1 2023 United States GP – FP1 Results

Max Verstappen fronted the times in the only practice hour ahead of qualifying for the United States Grand Prix.

Verstappen set a best of 1:35.912s to take top spot in FP1 at the Circuit of the Americas, 0.156s ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

Lewis Hamilton wound up third for Mercedes, marginally faster than the second Red Bull of Sergio Perez.

Kevin Magnussen clocked the fifth quickest time in the upgraded Haas VF-23, with team-mate Nico Hulkenberg also inside the top half.

Splitting the two Haas cars were Mercedes’ George Russell, Alex Albon’s Williams and Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari. Pierre Gasly completed the top 10 for Alpine.
