The sole practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix proved to be an extremely wet affair, with only a handful of laps set during the session.
Several drivers also failed to set a lap time as the conditions remained treacherous throughout the one-hour session.
Carlos Sainz ended up as the fastest driver ahead of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Logan Sargeant caused a red flag when he crashed, sustaining minor damage to his car.
Max Verstappen, who won the last seven races, failed to log a single lap time. Qualifying is scheduled to take place in two and a half hours’ time.
