Charles Leclerc topped a busy second practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Ferrari driver set a 1:17.686, just 0.015s faster than second fastest Lando Norris. Pierre Gasly completed the top three two-tenths adrift.

FP2 starkly contrasted the virtually washed-out FP1 session as drivers sought to make up for lost time earlier in the day.

It was a quiet session for Mercedes and Red Bull as both teams kept away from the soft compound while others were seen completing qualifying simulations.

In his first representative session in the AlphaTauri, Daniel Ricciardo was 0.4s adrift of teammate Yuki Tsunoda as he begins to get to grips with the AT04.
