Max Verstappen ended Friday comfortably in the driving seat for this weekend’s Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix.
Having already topped FP1, the reigning World Champion completed a clean sweep of today’s track action by setting a best lap of 1:13.907s during the second practice session.

The Aston Martin of home favourite Fernando Alonso was 0.170s adrift to provide the closest challenge to Verstappen.
Nico Hulkenberg wound up a surprising third for Haas, only a tenth down on Alonso’s best time.
Ferrari’s revised car delivered a muted performance, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz ending up sixth and seventh respectively.
