Aston Martin keeps getting and better! Let’s find out how this manufacturer continues to improve and is now pushing the big guns in Formula 1.

The Silverstone squad put on a show at the Australian Grand Prix, held on the Albert Park circuit in Melbourne where they managed to squeeze two drivers into the top 4! Fernando Alonso took third place while teammate Lance Stroll was in fine form and took fourth.

This is the first time in its history that the British manufacturer has achieved such a feat but it wasn’t a fluke. Aston Martin has been working behind the scenes! You can bet on Aston Martin to win the constructors championship at GGBET, they are currently sitting in 2nd place behind Red Bull. Keep reading to find out what changes this legendary car manufacturer has made to its racing team.

The AMR23 has been fast, straight out of the box

Aston Martin’s new chassis for 2023, the AMR23, is quick! As soon as fans got their first glimpse of the car, everyone started recognizing the similarities to Red Bull’s RB18. It quickly earned the nickname, Green Bull. The AM23 was designed by Dan Fallows who jumped ship from Red Bull and is Aston Martin’s new technical director.

The Silverstone based team has been recruiting top talent from across the industry. They also managed to pinch former Mercedes man, Eric Blandin. Blandin is now Aston Martin’s deputy technical director and also played a critical role in designing the team’s new car design.

The Fernando Alonso factor

Fernando Alonso has been on fire for Aston Martin and shut the haters up who claimed the 41 year old legend was past it. Alonso is considered one of the best Formula 1 drivers of all time and he is putting all of his skills on display during the 2023 season. The Spaniard is a two time champion with over 100 grand prix podiums to his name. Bearing in mind that his first F1 race was over 20 years ago , he is still one of the fastest drivers on the planet.

3rd place Fernando Alonso (ESP) Aston Martin F1 Team AMR23. 02.04.2023.

Amazingly, Alonso is currently sitting in third position in the drivers’ standings. He currently has third podium finishes this year and is ahead of Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz Jr. If he keeps up his sublime form he might even leapfrog Sergio Perez and claim second in the standings.

At the first race of the year, the Bahrain Grand Prix, Alonso took home third place behind Perez and Verstappen. He was 10 seconds ahead of Sainz Jr! Then at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix he again took the third step on the podium, again behind Perez and Verstappen. At the latest race, the Australian GP he came home third, even after being shunted off the track by Sainz.

Lawrence Stroll Has Deep Pockets

Money makes the world go around and you definitely need some serious cash to fund a Formula 1 team. Lucky for Aston Martin their new team owner Lawrence Stroll has a net worth of $3.6 billion, knows the racing industry, and is incredibly motivated to win because his son, Lance Stroll, is the number two driver.

Lawrence Stroll purchased a 16.7% stake in Aston Martin back in 2020 for over $200 million. He decided to rebrand the Racing Point F1 Team as the Aston Martin F1 Team in 2021. He followed that move up with a game-changer, hiring Fernando Alonso for the 2023 season.

Lawrence Stroll is not just some billionaire having a bit of fun with a racing team. He is a serious enthusiast who first got into the Formula 1 game back in 2018 when he purchased the team then known as Racing Point hitherto Force India F1.

Stroll is determined to see his son eventually become a Formula 1 champion. With his latest investments into Aston Martin, that dream is coming closer and closer to fruition. He has stacked the team with world-class talents, most notably from Mercedes and Red Bull, and even has one of the greatest drivers of all time, Alonso mentoring his son.

Lance Stroll really has talent

Stroll Jr may only be 24 years old, but he is already one of the top drivers in Formula 1. He currently sits in sixth place in the drivers’ standings, and every racer above him is older and more experienced than him. Despite being so young, he had already entered 126 F1 races, making his debut back in 2017 at the Australian Grand Prix.

Stroll has had three podium finishes at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Italian Grand Prix, and the Sakhir Grand Prix. He has tons of natural talent and now that he is driving an elite car there is no reason why he shouldn’t be consistently in the top six at every race during the 2023 season.

Based on Stroll’s trajectory as a driver and Aston Martin’s continued improvements, it could only a matter of time before he becomes an F1 champion. We can’t wait to see him push Verstappen to the limits of the next few years.

Aston Martin are on the right track

Lawrence Stroll has deep pockets and has been throwing tons of cash into the team including a new state of the art factory. He is ultra-motivated to make the team succeed. They have also redesigned their race car which is now elite and hired top industry talent including Eric Blandin and Dan Fallows.

The future definitely looks bright for Aston Martin. They are now on a level playing field with Ferrari and Mercedes and will be gunning for grand prix victories.
