Charles Leclerc has asked for people to stop visiting his Monaco apartment after the leaking of his home address has resulted in a series of recent visits.
In a message posted on his Instagram story this morning, Leclerc explains how recently his home location has become public knowledge, leading to people gathering to try and obtain pictures and autographs with the Ferrari star.
While the Monegasque driver underlines that he will continue to greet anybody who approaches him on the streets or at the racetrack, Leclerc has said he will no longer engage with people directly at his own home.
“Hey everyone, for the past few months, my home address has somehow become public, leading to people gathering beneath my apartment, ringing my bell, and asking for pictures and autographs,” he began.
“While I’m always happy to be there for you and I truly appreciate your support, please respect my privacy and refrain from coming to my house.
“I’ll make sure to stop for everyone when you see me on the streets or at the track, but I won’t be coming downstairs if you visit my home.
“Your support, both in person and on social media, means the world to me, but there is a boundary that should not be crossed,” Leclerc added.
Reports at the time speculated that the incident occurred while Leclerc was stopping for fans who were asking him for photographs and autographs.
