The Alpine Formula 1 team has confirmed the launch date for its 2023 car, which is named the A523.

The challenger will be unveiled on February 16 next month at an event in London.

It is the fourth team to announce a launch date, with Aston Martin, AlphaTauri and Ferrari already confirming their launch times.

Alpine enters the season looking to build on a successful campaign in 2022, in which it bested McLaren to fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship.

However, its year didn’t unfold without controversy as it was involved in a contract dispute with Oscar Piastri.

It also lost the services of Fernando Alonso to Aston Martin this year.

In his place arrives Pierre Gasly, who forms an all-French line-up with Esteban Ocon.

2023 will be Ocon’s fourth season with the Enstone-based squad, having made his debut for the team in 2020 when it ran under the Renault name.

It's nearly time to meet the A523…
