Revived Italian manufacturer Isotta Fraschini have posted the first render of their new Le Mans Hypercar, which is intended to debut at next year’s 6 Hours of Spa.
Motorsport.com’s Italian edition reports that the car has a 3.0-litre hybrid V6 engine, with the electric motor on the front axle. That means when it kicks in, the car will, at least if homologated by the ACO, be four-wheel drive.
It has been developed in the Williams F1 team wind tunnel and is currently in build by Michelotto, which until recently was tasked with building Ferrari’s GT cars.
Motorsport.com Italy also reports there are roadcars coming, based on this Le Mans Hypercar-rules car.
Other than that, details are currently scant, with only that render to go on. We have contacted Isotta Fraschini for more official comments and information, and will report back if and when we hear from them.
