Sergio Perez claimed victory in the Singapore Grand Prix as he coped well with the pressure from behind, as Charles Leclerc chased the Mexican for the majority of the race before falling away at the end.

Carlos Sainz finished third to give Ferrari a 2-3 finish, though the Spaniard was well off the pace, finishing 15 seconds behind despite two Safety Car restarts bunching the field up.

McLaren enjoyed a good result with Lando Norris leading team-mate Daniel Ricciardo across the line in fourth and fifth. Lance Stroll was sixth.

Max Verstappen had a nightmare race, but managed to recover from the back of the field to finish seventh with a late pass on Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton in eighth and ninth. Pierre Gasly was the final points finisher.
