Formula 2 veteran Luca Ghiotto will return to the category on home soil this weekend at Monza in place of the suspended Roy Nissany.
Williams tester Nissany reached the 12-point threshold at Zandvoort after an indiscretion during the Feature Race.
As a consequence Nissany is not permitted to participate at Monza.
DAMS has called up Ghiotto to partner Red Bull junior Ayumu Iwasa this weekend.
Ghiotto, who finished runner-up to Alpine Formula 1 racer Esteban Ocon in the 2015 GP3 Series, stepped up to Formula 2 under its GP2 Series guise in 2016.
Ghiotto spent five years in the championship, reaching a best of third in 2019, and claimed seven victories overall.
