Charles Leclerc continues to set the pace on the opening day of the “official” Formula 1 pre-season test, with the Ferrari driver clocking a 1:34.531 – an improvement on his earlier lap during the opening hour of the session.
Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton is second, albeit 1.8 seconds adrift as nine of the ten teams turned laps. Haas is set to take part in the afternoon session only after its freight was delayed when a cargo plane encountered trouble.
