Inception Racing has announced it will contest its the 60th Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona later this month, in a McLaren 720S GT3, using the #7, in the GTD class.
Driving for the team will be regular duo Brendan Iribe and Ollie Milroy. They’ll be joined by South African Jordan Pepper and Dane Frederick Schandorff. Pepper was due to race for the team at the Kyalami 9 Hours in December before the race was postponed due to Covid-19 Omicron variant breakout, while Frederick Schandorff showed impressive pace at Road Atlanta last year with Inception.
They’ll follow up the Rolex 24 with a full season entry in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Series, again in GTD.
Shaun Goff, Team Principal, said: “There’s no better way to kick-off our 2022 campaign than heading over to the States for such an iconic event. We made our IMSA debut only a couple of months ago so we’re all really excited to get the ball rolling for an entire season.
“Our 2021 season ended quite abruptly due to the cancellation of what would’ve been our final event of the year in Kyalami. After a well-earned rest over the Christmas break, the team a raring to go and ready to roar at Daytona 24.”
