Saturday marks the second and penultimate day of Formula 1 pre-season testing and with running somewhat disrupted on Friday’s opening day, thanks to an afternoon sandstorm, teams will be keen to make the most of Saturday’s good weather.
Just a handful of drivers will be running full days, with the majority running a split shift, with one driver taking the opening four hours before swapping during the hour lunch break.
The session will run from 10:00 to 14:00 and 15:00 to 19:00 local time [GMT: 07:00 to 11:00 and 12:00 to 16:00 / EST: 02:00 to 06:00 and 07:00 to 11:00].
Testing would normally begin at 08:00 and run through to 17:00, but the decision has been taken to allow for some night time running under the lights, with sunset falling at around 17:45 in Bahrain.
