Ferrari has become the latest team to confirm its launch plans ahead of the 2021 Formula 1 season.
The manufacturer announced that two launches, to take place online, will happen across February 26 and March 10, with the latter set to be when the SF21 is revealed.
The SF21 was fired up for the first time on Friday morning at its Maranello base.
“Our 2021 season starts here”, said Ferrari Team Principal Mattia Binotto, addressing the outfit’s workforce via video link.
“We can expect plenty of challenges along the way and we are determined to do better. The car has been improved in all areas where developments are permitted.
“We must work in a determined and focused way, aware of where we were and where we want to go.”
Ferrari endured a fraught 2020 season with its SF1000 dogged by poor performance, particularly from the power unit, in the wake of its settlement with the FIA.
Ferrari finished a win-less sixth in the Constructors’ Championship and claimed only two podiums.
While only minor modifications have been made to the regulations teams have been permitted some development tokens, with Ferrari understood to have focused on the rear of its car.
Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will form Ferrari’s driver partnership this season.
