Hitech has confirmed Pierre-Louis Chovet will remain at the team for this weekend’s Formula 3 event at Monza, while Sophia Floersch returns to Campos after missing the round in Belgium.

Chovet made his debut in the series in Spa last weekend, stepping in for Max Fewtrell who parted ways with the team.

The Frenchman, who has been competing full-time in the Formula Regional European Championship this year, ended the Feature Race in 22nd place before retiring from the Sprint Race following a crash.

“From the Monday following my podium at Paul Ricard in Formula Regional, I’ve spent a solid prep week together with the team at Silverstone and Spa for my debut in FIA F3,” Chovet said.

“It has been a rich learning experience and I’m now more confident with this powerful single seater.

“I’m really grateful for the confidence placed in me from Hitech GP and Travel Planet. Now let’s focus on Monza where I will do my best to bring the team a consistent result.”

Floersch was not present at Spa as she made her LMP2 debut in the European Le Mans Series in France, where she finished 11th. However, she will be back in for the upcoming round in Italy.

Michael Belov will also race at Monza this weekend at Charouz, after replacing David Schumacher at the team last time out.
