No Formula 1 personnel have returned a positive Covid-19 result in the latest round of testing for the virus, championship organisers have confirmed.

All personnel attending grands prix had to undergo testing prior to flying to Austria and have been required to take further tests every five days.

No positive results were recorded in last week’s batch of testing and this has been replicated across the last seven days.

“The FIA and Formula 1 can today confirm that between Friday 3rd July and Thursday 9th July, 4566 tests for COVID-19 have been performed on drivers, teams and personnel,” read a statement.

“Of these, zero people have tested positive. The FIA and Formula 1 are providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency.

“No specific details as to teams or individuals will be provided by the FIA or Formula 1 and results will be made public every seven days.”

Formula 1 personnel in Austria are operating in groups or bubbles in order to practice social distancing as much as possible.

The FIA issued a warning to Charles Leclerc after he returned home to Monaco between grands prix in Austria and gathered with people outside of his bubble.

Valtteri Bottas was not cautioned as he remained only with people inside of his bubble when he went to his residence in Monaco between events.
