Mitch Evans topped the timesheets in Formula E’s final practice ahead of qualifying for the Marrakesh E-Prix.

The Jaguar racing driver – who took victory at the Mexico City E-Prix earlier this month – lapped the 2.971km-long circuit in 1m 17.309s, edging ahead of Audi’s Lucas di Grassi who trailled the Kiwi by 0.236s.

Robin Frijns followed Evans and di Grassi in third for Envision Virgin Racing, 0.035s adrift of the second-placed Brazilian ahead while Pascal Wehrlein was fourth for Mahindra.

BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Alexander Sims fronted a 5-7 result for the German marque, with Nyck de Vries separating the Briton from his team-mate Maximilian Gunther.

0.559s down on Evans, ROKiT Venturi Racing’s Edoardo Mortara was eighth, outpacing James Calado who was ninth in the second Jaguar while Oliver Rowland completed the top 10, heading a 10-11 performance for Nisssan.

Outside of the top 10, Andre Lotterer was the lead Porsche while Antonio Felix da Costa was 15th, edging ahead of reigning champion Jean-Eric Vergne who returned to the cockpit after missing shakedown and FP1 on Friday after suffering from headaches.

Qualifying for the Marrakesh E-Prix will take place at 11:00 local time later today.
