Lirim Zendeli will continue to race in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this season after signing a deal to compete for Trident.

Zendeli, the 2018 German Formula 4 Champion, stepped up to Formula 3 last year and finished 18th in the standings with Sauber Junior Team by Charouz.

Zendeli is the first of Trident’s confirmed signings for the 2020 campaign.

Trident finished fourth in last year’s Formula 3 standings and claimed victory in Belgium, courtesy of Pedro Piquet, who has already sealed a move to Charouz’s Formula 2 squad.
