NASCAR team owner and retired driver Tony Stewart was involved in a physical altercation with a heckler during an All-Star Circuit of Champions winged sprint car event at Jackson Motorplex in Minnesota on July 26, according to reports.

Stewart owns and sometimes competes in the ASCOC series. He competed in the event at Jackson but was retired by an engine failure.

Stewart, first, ignored the heckler while signing autographs. But when the heckling continued, Stewart chased the man behind a truck and looked to punch him in the face. Later, Stewart was, reportedly, seen icing his hand.

Stewart retired from competition as a NASCAR Cup Series driver at the end of the 2016 race season after a driving career that included 49 races wins and three championships in 2002, 2005 and 2011. His Stewart-Haas Racing team, which fields entries in the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity sereis, has two championships — one with Stewart as driver in 2011 and another with Kevin Harvick in 2014.
