Toyota fastest in final Prologue session, Rebellion 0.2s behind

The fourth and final test session of the FIA World Endurance Championship Prologue in Barcelona has come to a close. The #7 Toyota in the hands of Jose Maria Lopez set the fastest time ahead of the #8 car of Kazuki Nakajima.

Noticeably, the #1 Rebellion R13-Gibson was just 0.267s behind the fastest session time, with Gustavo Menezes setting a time of 01:29:408.

The #6 Team LNT Ginetta split the Rebellions, with Luca Ghiotto's half a second off the top time. The #3 Rebellion was third, with the #5 Ginetta slowest in class, just over a second slower than the fastest Toyota.

The last of the four sessions at the CIrcuit de Barcelona-Catalunya saw limited running from the cars in the other classes, with none of the GTE Pro runners setting any laptimes.

In LMP2, which also saw limited running, Racing Team Nederland was fastest of the five cars out on track. The #29 ORECA 07 Gibson set a fastest time of 01:31:659, set by Formula 2 star Nyck de Vries.

Paul di Resta was second fastest in the United Autosports ORECA ahead of reigning LMP2 champion Andre Negrao in the #36 Signatech Alpine. Both of the JOTA Sport cars sat out the session, as did the Cool Racing entry.

GTE Am also saw a very limited number of cars out on the circuit. Out of three running cars, the #88 Dempsey-Proton Porsche of Thomas Preining was fastest with a 01:44:523, ahead of the #86 Gulf Racing Porsche and #53 AF Corse Ferrari.
