Leonardo Pulcini charged to a dominant victory in Silverstone, securing a second consecutive win for Hitech Grand Prix.

After finishing in fourth place in Race 1, Pulcini started the second race of the weekend from fifth while 17-year-old racer Liam Lawson lined up in pole position for MP Motorsport.

Securing a strong start, Pulcini was able to move into the podium positions early on after overtaking Robert Schwartzman and Christian Lundgaard, running in a competitive third place.

On the fifth tour of the circuit, Pulcini overtook Pedro Piquet to secure second before closing in on Lawson who was struggling for pace out in front, overtaking the Kiwi four laps later with the aid of DRS into Brooklands to snatch the lead.

Now in second place, Lawson came under pressure from Piquet, however, the young Brazilian was unable to find a way into second, getting overtaken by Schwartzman before the Russian then took second place.

With Lawson dropping to third, the battle for the final step of the podium was intense, however, the New Zealander was able to hold on, with Piquet getting punted off by Jehan Daruvala in the final corner in the final laps of the race.

Unchallenged, Pulcini took the chequered flag in first place while Schwartzman was second. Lawson stood on the final step of the podium as the youngest driver on the grid in what was a mature performance in the British leg of the 2019 season.

Outside of the podium positions Prema Racing's Marcus Armstrong was the best of the rest as the Kiwi took fourth while Lundgaard completed the top five.

Amidst the carnage in the final lap of the race, David Bechmann rose from eighth to sixth while Yuki Tsunoda and Fabio Scherer occupied the final points-paying positions, gaining through an incident between Race 1 winner Juri Vips and HWA's Jake Hughes on lap 17.

The FIA Formula 3 Championship will return on August 3 and 4, next racing at the Hungaroring in Hungary.
