DS Techeetah team boss Mark Preston has said that Jean-Eric Vergne and the squad's advantage in both the Drivers' and Teams' Championships is far from comfortable.
After 11 races this season, Vergne and DS Techeetah lead both the Drivers' and Teams' Championship with only one weekend of competition remaining in Season 5.
Taking a third victory of the season and a third consecutive podium finish at last weekend's Bern E-Prix, Vergne holds a 32 point lead over Lucas di Grassi with two races remaining and 58 points on offer while a total of eight drivers stand a mathematical chance of taking the title.
In the Teams' Standings, DS Techeetah head Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler by 43 points, with a potentially larger advantage getting slashed last weekend when Andre Lotterer was handed a 22-second post-race time penalty, relegating the driver from fourth to 15th in the final classification.
At the New York City E-Prix, four teams including DS Techeetah stand a chance of taking the Teams' title with 94 points still on offer at the double-header season finale.
Given the amount of points still available this season, DS Techeetah Team Principal Mark Preston emphasised that the position that the team is in is far from comfortable:
"Jean-Éric [Vergne] truly was on fire [in Bern]. Vergne the king of Bern, and how well deserved. But I must also take this opportunity to give a lot of kudos to the team for this incredible performance," he said.
"We find ourselves in a very familiar situation going into New York for the final two races now, leading both Drivers' and Teams' championships.
"We may have extended both with 32 and 43 respectively, but even though it may seem much, it's not a comfortable lead in Formula E.
"There's two more races to go in the double-header finale and there's everything left to play for."
Formula E's Season 5 finale will take place on July 13 and 14 in New York City.
