Formula 1 teams will return to action in Bahrain this week for the first of two in-season tests planned for 2019.
All 10 teams will be in action at the Sakhir International Circuit across Tuesday and Wednesday, with each team permitted one car.
McLaren and Toro Rosso will be fielding a second car for the purpose of assisting sole tyre supplier Pirelli with its development, and those respective cars will be run by the company itself.
A couple of young drivers will have their first experience of Formula 1 machinery while a familiar face will be back behind the wheel.
Ferrari-backed Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time World Champion Michael, will climb into the cockpit of the SF90 on Tuesday for his first taste of contemporary Formula 1 machinery.
He will then switch to Alfa Romeo for Wednesday’s running.
Red Bull will hand Daniel Ticktum his first full day in Formula 1 machinery when he takes over from Max Verstappen for Wednesday’s test.
At the other end of the spectrum, two-time World Champion Fernando Alonso will return to Formula 1 action by driving the Pirelli-run McLaren MCL34 for Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon’s sessions.
Alonso stepped back from Formula 1 at the end of 2018 but has remained connected to McLaren and holds a position as the team’s ambassador.
