Ott Tanak holds the lead in Corsica after Elfyn Evans lost ten seconds in the final stage of the day stuck behind the ailing Yaris of Kris Meeke.
Evans had been fastest throughout the afternoon loop and held a 4.5 second lead over Tanak going into the stage.
Meeke had sustained suspension arm damage after hitting a kerb in the previous stage and was not going at full speed when the Welshman caught up with him and did not notice the Fiesta behind for a considerable section of the stage.
Update: Evans given same time as Tanak to re-take Corsica lead
With the time lost Evans drops to third, behind morning leader Tanak and Thierry Neuville.
However it’s expected that the incident will be investigated, with Evans possibly receiving a notional time based off the data available from both the affected run of Alta-Rocca and Friday morning’s.
Tanak had to be careful during the afternoon loop due to a slight damper issue but remains well placed for the rest of the event.
Neuville complained about the handling of his i20 throuhut Friday and said he was missing grip on the dusty stages.
