Hitech GP has been announced as the team which will operate all of the cars in the W Series in 2019.

W Series will operate Tatuus T-138 Formula 3 cars and Hitech GP will oversee all preparations of the cars and trackside operations including engineers and pit crew which will comprise around 50 staff.

The British team has experience at the Formula 3 level of racing and will oversee the running of all 18 cars on the W Series grid over the six-round meetings in the 2019 championship, which will be on the DTM support bill.

Hitech GP F3 teams have enjoyed numerous successes across European and Asian championships including winning the F3 Asian Championship and overall third place in the 10-round 2018 FIA F3 European Championship.

Dave Ryan, Racing Director at W Series, said: "We are delighted to partner with such a professional and ambitious team – it will be a critical part of our success as, together, we continue to prepare for our first season next year."

Hitech GP Team Owner, Oliver Oakes, added: "With so much experience of racing today’s F3 cars, we feel we are the ideal partner for W Series, but, beyond that, it’s great to be able to support more females into motorsport, both behind the wheel and in the pit garages and workshops too."

W Series' first race will take place on the weekend of May 3, 2019, at Hockenheim, Germany.
